Add an SDS
Follow these steps to upload an SDS to CASSA. CASSA will process the document and create the SDS and associated Risk Assessment in your SDS Register.
Upload the SDS
From the main menu, click Asset Management.
Click SDS Register. The SDS Register will open.
Click Add SDS.
You can add your SDS file in one of three ways:
Drag and drop the file into the upload area.
Search and select a file.
Browse Desktop Folders to locate the file on your computer.
Select the SDS file you want to upload.
Once the file has been uploaded, click the button to start the SDS processing workflow.
CASSA will take a few minutes to process the document and create the SDS.
When processing is complete, the processing indicator will return to 0 SDS, and the newly created SDS will appear in the grid below.
View and action the SDS
The new SDS will now be displayed in the SDS Register.
You can take several actions from the grid:
View the SDS in CASSA.
RA to view the Risk Assessment as a PDF.
SDS to view the original SDS as a PDF.
Click View to open the SDS in CASSA.
The SDS will open, where you can review the information and access the available actions.
View the SDS or Risk Assessment
Click View SDS to open the SDS as a PDF.
Click View RA to open the Risk Assessment as a PDF.
Edit the Risk Assessment
To make changes to the Risk Assessment, click Edit.
The Risk Assessment will open in edit mode.
Make the required changes.
When you have finished editing, click Save to save your changes.
Once saved, click SDS Register in the breadcrumb navigation to return to the main SDS Register.
Your SDS has now been uploaded, processed, and added to the CASSA SDS Register, with an associated Risk Assessment available for review and editing.
